Buffers and turnover time
Room reset, notes, a breather between clients: turnover is real time, so it belongs on the calendar. In Lime Papaya, turnover lives inside the service duration. Size the duration to the whole block you need, and both the calendar and online booking respect it.
Who can do this: whoever manages services (Owner, Admin, or Manager).
Build turnover into the duration
- In the left sidebar, click Services.
- Click Edit under the service (or use the Add a service card for a new one).
- Set Duration, minutes to treatment time plus reset time, in 5-minute steps.
- Click Save changes. Every future booking of that service blocks the full duration.
Example. Golden Coast's Hydrafacial takes 50 minutes of treatment and 10 minutes of room reset, so its Duration, minutes is 60. Online booking offers 2:00 PM, then 3:00 PM. Never 2:50 PM.
Common questions
- Is there a separate buffer setting? No. The duration is the block. One number controls the calendar and online booking, so there's exactly one place to get it right.
- Different providers need different turnover? Duration is per service, not per provider. Set it for the slower reality; a fast provider gets a breather, a slow one doesn't run late.
- What about existing bookings? Changing a duration shapes future bookings. What's already on the book keeps the time it was booked with.
Good to know
- Back-to-back multi-service visits stack full durations, so the turnover you built in rides along automatically.
- If providers keep running late, the fix is usually ten more minutes of duration on the two or three services that cause it.
