Set up your first location
Your location is the foundation everything else sits on. Its hours and timezone decide when clients can book, when reminders go out, and what times land on your calendar. Most spas set this up once. Here's the whole thing, start to finish.
Who can do this: Owner, Admin, or Manager.
Add your location
- In the left sidebar, click Settings, then open the Locations tab.
- In the Add a location card, fill in every field. What each one wants is below.
- Click Add location. It drops into the list above and appears in the location switcher at the top of every page.
What each field wants:
- Location name. What your team sees in the location switcher at the top of the app. Use the name you'd say out loud, like "Santa Monica" or "Downtown studio."
- Street address, City, State, ZIP. The real address; clients see it on their booking confirmation and reminders.
- Timezone. Set this to where the location physically is. It's the single most important field on this page (more on that below).
Example. A single-location medspa in Santa Monica enters "Santa Monica," their street address, and the America/Los_Angeles timezone, then moves straight on to adding services and staff.

Why the timezone matters more than it looks
Every time in Lime Papaya is anchored to the location's timezone: the calendar slots, the reminder texts, and the times a client sees when booking online, daylight saving included. Get it wrong and a client who books "2:00 PM" online can land an hour off on your calendar. Set it once, correctly, and you never think about it again.
Edit a location later
- Go to Settings, then Locations.
- On the location's card, click Edit location.
- Change what you need, then click Save changes.
Common questions
- No Locations tab? It's role-gated. You need Owner, Admin, or Manager. Ask an owner to update your role under Settings, then Staff.
- Online booking shows no times? A location only offers times inside its open hours and a provider's working schedule. Add at least one bookable service and one provider whose hours cover the day.
- Times look an hour off? Check the location's timezone first. That's almost always it.
Good to know
- Run as many locations as you need. Use the switcher at the top of any page to focus one or see All locations together.
- Opening hours and each provider's schedule are what gate online booking; the location is where the timezone that governs them lives.
