Reschedule an appointment
Move a visit to a new date or time in three clicks. The same no-double-booking rules apply, so a move can't stomp on another appointment.
Who can do this: Owner, Admin, Manager, or Front desk.
Move it
- Open the appointment: click its chip on the Calendar, or its row in Next up on Today.
- In the Reschedule card, pick the new Date and Time.
- Click Move it. The appointment shows at its new time on the calendar.
Example. Sarah calls to push her Thursday 2:00 PM Hydrafacial to Friday. The front desk opens her appointment from the calendar, sets Friday and 11:00 AM, clicks Move it, and the chip jumps to Friday's column.
Common questions
- Move it bounced with an error? The new time is taken or the provider isn't available then. Pick another slot; the calendar refuses double-bookings, same as new bookings.
- There's no Reschedule card? Completed and cancelled appointments don't reschedule. For a cancelled visit, use Put back on the book first (if the slot is still free), or book fresh.
- Can I drag the chip on the calendar? Not today. Rescheduling happens here, on the appointment.
- Does the client hear about the change? Send them a quick text from Messages so the new time is in writing. Their reminder follows the appointment's new time.
Good to know
- Rescheduling keeps everything else: services, provider, and any payment state stay put. Only the time moves.
- Freed slots become bookable immediately, online and at the desk.
