Set a provider's working hours
A provider's working schedule is what turns "we're open" into "she's available": online booking and the calendar only offer a provider inside their hours. Here's how schedules shape availability today, and which levers you have.
How schedules drive availability
- Every provider has a working schedule, set up with your account.
- Online booking offers a provider only for times inside their schedule, inside the location's open hours, and outside anything already booked.
- The calendar plays by the same rules, so the desk and the booking page never disagree about who's free.
The levers you have right now
- Bookable for appointments (under Settings, then Staff): the on/off switch per person. Someone on leave? Untick it and they take no new bookings anywhere.
- Time off and schedule changes are handled as part of your account setup today; a screen for editing weekly hours hasn't shipped yet.
- For a short absence, unticking Bookable for appointments and re-ticking on return is the clean everyday tool.
Example. Priya works Tuesday through Saturday. A client browsing Monday sees other providers but not Priya; Tuesday morning her column is back. When she takes two weeks off, the desk unticks her Bookable for appointments and her name disappears from booking until she's back.
Common questions
- Where do I edit the weekly hours? Not in the screens yet; hours are configured with your account. This article will change the day that ships.
- A provider shows no times online at all? Three checks: Bookable for appointments is ticked, they offer the service being booked, and the day is inside your booking window.
- Do hours differ per location? A provider's schedule is theirs; where they work is a staffing decision. Keep the schedule current and the calendar follows.
- What about lunch breaks? Anything already on the calendar blocks that time. Booking the break as a recurring hold is the desk workaround until schedule editing lands.
