Choose which providers offer a service
Who shows up as a choice when a client books Botox? Eligibility answers that, on the calendar and on your booking page. Here's exactly how it works today, and the levers you actually have.
How eligibility works
- A service with no provider list is open: every provider marked Bookable for appointments offers it.
- A service with a provider list is restricted: only those providers appear for it, online and at the desk.
- Provider lists are configured with your account setup today; there's no screen for editing them yet.
The levers you have right now
- Bookable for appointments (per person, under Settings, then Staff): the master switch. Someone unticked offers nothing.
- Provider schedules: a provider only shows for times inside their working hours, so who appears also depends on when.
- For a service only some of your team performs, ask for the restriction as part of your account setup, and keep your bookable list honest in the meantime.
Example. Golden Coast has four bookable providers, but only Priya and Dr. Reyes perform injectables. With the Botox service restricted to those two, a client booking Botox chooses between Priya and Dr. Reyes (or Anyone available, meaning either of them). The other two never appear for it.
Common questions
- The booking page offers the wrong provider for a service? That service has no restriction list, so every bookable provider shows. Until per-service editing lands in Settings, the honest workaround is the one above: restriction via account setup.
- A provider vanished from a service? Check the basics first: are they still Bookable for appointments, and do they have working hours that day?
- Does Anyone available respect restrictions? Yes. It draws from the same eligible list; it never books someone who doesn't offer the service.
- Do restrictions apply at the desk too? Yes. The New appointment form and the booking page read the same eligibility.
Good to know
- Restriction lists and the medical flag are separate: Medical treatment governs client requirements (age, consent), eligibility governs which staff perform it.
- One accurate bookable roster prevents most "why is she offered for that" surprises.
