Let clients manage their own booking
Every online booking comes with a private manage link, so the "can I move my Thursday" calls handle themselves. Clients reschedule into real open slots or cancel cleanly, your calendar updates instantly, and the freed time goes back on the market.
What the client can do
- They open the private link from their booking confirmation.
- The page shows their appointment with a Confirmed tag, plus two buttons: Reschedule and Cancel appointment.
- Reschedule offers real open times only, so the move can't collide with anything. After picking one: "Your appointment was rescheduled."
- Cancel appointment asks "Cancel this appointment?" before it does anything. Confirmed cancels free the slot on your calendar.
- Inside your cancellation window, both buttons give way to "Changes must be made at least 24 hours ahead. Please call us."
Example. Wednesday night a client realizes Thursday 2:00 PM won't work. From the link in her confirmation she moves it to Friday 11:00 AM in under a minute. The front desk finds Thursday's slot already offered to the waitlist and Friday's chip in place.
Common questions
- They lost the link? Point them at the client portal: your booking page address plus /portal. Find my bookings sends a fresh private link to their email or phone.
- It won't let them cancel? They're inside the cancellation window. The desk can still make any change from the appointment page.
- Do I get told when they change something? The calendar is the source of truth: moves and cancels show there the moment they happen. A morning glance at Today catches anything that shifted overnight.
- Can they change the service from the link? No. The link moves or cancels the visit. A different service is a fresh booking.
Good to know
- The link is private to that booking. Nobody can pull up someone else's appointment by guessing.
- Self-service cancels feed the waitlist the same way desk cancels do.
